Renewable Energy Asset Manager, UK
Would it motivate you to work directly with renewable energy assets, ensuring that they operate to the best of their ability, thereby accelerating the green transition? As an Asset Manager in European Energy, you have full responsibility for the technical operation of a portfolio of assets, including troubleshooting and fixing various challenges.
European Energy is a green energy company in exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate solar and wind projects globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.
The Asset Management department consists of 92 colleagues in total, based in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Brazil. We are responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of power-producing assets, offering asset management services for both internal and external assets, and providing power sales services.
You will be part of our Technical Asset Management team, which plays a key role in the technical operation of our solar and wind parks. We work closely with our in-house Commercial Asset Management team, O&M, EPC, Project Development, and Innovation to achieve our main goal of optimizing operational assets with a special focus on performance and cost optimization.
“In Asset Management we have a great focus on knowledge sharing, holding weekly meetings both based on technologies (wind, solar, and PtX) and countries in which we operate and manage the assets. These meetings are great opportunities for everyone to share experiences and ideas to always keep improving.” (Leonardo Gibellini, Senior Manager, Technical Asset Management)
As a Technical Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our own and third-party portfolios of renewable energy assets in the UK. You will be the first Technical Asset Manager to be located in the UK, alongside a team of 12 working from Glasgow (4) and remotely, focused on QHSE, project development, EPC, and risk management. It is expected that the asset management team will grow further as the current pipeline is built out over the next 3-5 years.
Your focus will be on the management of day-to-day technical activities and performance analysis and reporting of our solar and wind parks. Your stakeholder management and close collaboration with the technical contractors, asset owners, landowners, authorities, and neighbours will improve the asset performance and customer satisfaction. Together with your future asset management colleagues, you will work on improving portfolio performance and asset management procedures.
As a person, you are proactive and a good communicator. You possess a natural urge to constantly optimize our operating projects. You know the details stated in our contracts and you are good at keeping an overview of your assets. You have an eye to see if issues may arise and effectively act on them based on your technical and data-driven approach. Finally, you find it natural to coordinate with your team and involve relevant stakeholders to continuously ensure the optimal production of PV farms.
European Energy Group is a privately owned company founded in 2004. We operate from the development, construction, operation, and selling of wind- and photovoltaic (PV) farms on land as well as offshore globally. Further, we work with the development of future energy solutions, e.g., Power-to-X. We have a solid collaboration with local stakeholders and want to involve all parts of the process.
We have 700 employees with 43 nationalities represented in 20 countries. We all work for our common goal to be the most innovative partner within the green transition and to create The Power of Tomorrow, Today.
