[xxxxx] is seeking a highly skilled Energy Market & Risk Analyst to join our Markets and Power Portfolio Management team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing [xxxxx]’s market outlook and risk exposure. Responsibilities include monitoring European energy markets, analyzing market trends, identifying risk exposures, and developing risk analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor trends and dynamics in European energy markets, including spot and forward markets.
• Develop market forecast solutions to support decision-making.
• Identify risk exposures within [xxxxx]’s portfolio and develop corresponding risk measures and analysis tools.
• Conduct critical analysis of long-term price projections provided by external sources.
• Develop tools for monitoring market risks and facilitate knowledge sharing within [xxxxx].

Qualifications:

• Advanced university degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy and risk management for trading activities.
• Strong commercial acumen with a predisposition for autonomy and initiative.
• Proactive team player with integrity and a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and programming experience (e.g., Python or R); experience with PowerBI is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
