We are now looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team in Aarhus. Reporting to the Nordic Terminals Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing the financial strategy of the company, ensuring that the terminal is profitable, risk protected and financially strong. You will support in financial planning and forecasting as well as investments and facilitate decision making based on financial analysis and insights and ensure deadlines for planning and forecasting are met. You will also drive performance management and ensure financial compliance.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Acts as a business partner to the terminal Management Team. E.g. for Chief Operating Officer, Head of Operations or Commercial, to define ambitious but realistic goals and advise based on analysis and business insights. Contribute to business decisions and investment plans
- Ensure that the financial performance is transparent, as predictable as possible and that non-achievement of targets is recognized early and addressed with appropriate measures.
- Assure that the drivers and levers for achieving the business targets are well understood and applied appropriately.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with applicable APMT guidelines and national law and ensure best practises and processes are applied and further developed
- Ensure financial compliance by supporting the implementation of precautionary internal control measures such as releasing work instructions or operational procedures to ensure that all financial transactions comply with applicable APMT guidelines and national law in close collaboration with the Head of Finance
- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company, ensuring that the terminal is profitable, risk protected and financially strong
- Ensure continuous improvement through focus on performance metrics
- Drive performance management by assuring correct and efficient monthly closing and reporting processes. Ensure year monthly and year end closings are met
We are looking for:
- You have a Master or bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting of Business Economics
- Significant experience with Financial Business Partnering or Controlling, preferably in container ports or shipping industry
- You have strong analytical, communication and influencing skills
- Excellent skills of BI tools, Excel, MS Office
- You're inquisitive, pro-active, builds relationships quickly
- Quality and detail oriented
- Driven to be ‘best in class’
- You're resilient and have experience working in challenging situations
- Fluent in Danish and English
