We are currently undergoing a strategic transformation from a product-oriented manufacturer to a customer-driven global solutions partner, where investments in new technologies and the intelligent use of data will enable us to meet our customers’ demands more effectively.
As a step in our strategic transformation, the Nilfisk Leadership Team (NLT) has defined a number of strategic projects with high priority. As our new Portfolio Manager you will manage this portfolio of strategic and cross-functional projects in Nilfisk. You will be responsible for ensuring a good governance, clear ownership and financial reporting of the portfolio. You will be joining the PMO office, which is part of the IT & Transformation team in the Finance department, and report to our CIO.

You will be part of a small PMO team in the Finance department, where you will have a lot of exposure to the NLT and a broad contact to different areas of the organization. Thanks to this, this role is often a steppingstone to other opportunities within Nilfisk.

As a step in our strategic transformation, the Nilfisk Leadership Team (NLT) has defined a number of strategic projects with high priority. As our new Portfolio Manager you will manage this portfolio of strategic and cross-functional projects in Nilfisk. You will be responsible for ensuring a good governance, clear ownership and financial reporting of the portfolio. You will be joining the PMO office, which is part of the IT & Transformation team in the Finance department, and report to our CIO.
As a Portfolio Manager you will:
- Improve financial tracking of project and programs will be one of your main responsibilities.
- Day-to-day stakeholder management, ensure successful execution by coaching and supporting PM’s, be responsible for resource management, identify synergies across the portfolio, challenge setups, plans and structures, suggest improvement on project execution, support NLT in prioritization of portfolio etc.
- Drive 1-2 projects yourself together with the PM
- Align project and program KPIs with corporate KPI and objectives
- Ensure unbiased progress reporting on all KPIs and execution timelines
- Ensure escalation of deviations to Nilfisk Leadership Team and drive decisions to implement mitigation actions
- Continuous improvements of the governance model to ensure efficient and effective ways of working
Project Manager Officer with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Economic/financial university degree (cand.merc., cand.oekon., cand.polit. or similar).
- Min. 3-4 years’ of PMO experience from an inhouse company function (especially with strategy implementation and execution), on top of 5-8 years of work experience, ideally in a financial role.
- Experience with project portfolio management across the value chain of a company, such as production, digital transformation, sales, marketing etc.
- Knowledge of different business models, operating models, development models, cost/benefit analysis, budgeting, business cases, P&L statements and risk management.
- Strong experience in global and multi-cultural organizations, having developed an international mindset and strong communication skills.
- Ability to be productive in a global team through self-discipline and motivation, delivering according to schedule.
- High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up on commitments.
- Ability to influence at all levels in an organization and drive projects through others.
