Purpose of Role:
To Work with product owner, vendors and business stakeholders to translate requirements into specific solutions to provide changes in product functionality and capabilities.
To Partner with software developers and engineers to design solutions.
To Act as subject matter expert consulting on development and support of product. Is to be a key source of knowledge or expertise for the product

Creating technical specifications and processes, including
•Partnering with engineers and vendors to enhance product features and functions
•Assisting support groups
•Building and leveraging automation to decrease overall system deployment and support cycle time
Participating in pilots and production acceptance testing
Identifying the cause of technical issues as part of release management and support
Collaborating with project teams to manage system interdependencies
Prmary Internal Stakeholders:
Product Owner
Business Stakeholders
Vessel Captains and Chief Engineers
Development teams, support teams and solution architects
Primary External Stakeholders:
Vendors
Hands-on experience delivering/developing IT components and coding
Previous roles might include IT Analyst and Developer
At least 5+ years of experience with development of successful products in the industry.
Expertise in at least one compiled programming language, preferably Microsoft .NET Framework/.NET Core and C# and its development ecosystem (compilers, build tools, testing, logging, debugging, monitoring tools, libraries, etc).
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with cloud solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience with industrial communication protocols and interfaces such as OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP.
Programming skills in using Serial Communication, MODBUS, TCP/IP, Socket communication etc.
- Experience with industrial devices signal processing and client/server programming.
- Debugging and troubleshooting using signal simulators.
- Real time data processing and storage.
Business Skills:
Excellent English written and verbal skills with people at all levels across the organization.
Focused on quality.
Resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment and thrive in an international environment.
Good social skills, ability to collaborate with people of different personalities, background and ways of working.
