The Business Finance team provides dedicated support to the leadership team in Maersk Procurement and has direct, daily interactions with management and key stakeholders in our global Procurement organization. In your role, you will report directly to the Head of Business Finance Procurement.
As Finance Business Partner for Business Finance Procurement, you will be responsible for the collation, analysis and reporting of Procurement’s performance on a monthly and annual basis.
You will also support the Head of Business Finance Procurement to act as a financial sparring partner to the Procurement leadership team and help drive business performance across the global Procurement organization:
- Ensuring proper KPI management including providing the necessary analysis and insights to support target setting, monitoring, reporting and recommendation for corrective actions where relevant.
- Continuously drive the cost mindset in Procurement and ensure savings targets are delivered.
- Support the global day’s payment outstanding (DPO) initiative across Procurement functions including an opportunity to lead on deep-dive analysis/improvement sessions, to support the Maersk cash flow improvement.
- Supporting Procurement to Pay (P2P) initiatives between Finance and Procurement teams.
- Supporting our Procurement teams and management with financial analysis, insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Driving procurement compliance through proactive/reactive measures.
- Supporting the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process, including identifying and mitigating potential risks within the Procurement organization and processes.
In all areas, you will engage closely with the Head of Business Finance Procurement and other stakeholders across the Group, which is essential for the Business Finance team to deliver value to the entire Procurement organization.
A very important part of the position is also the ability to identify, drive and realize initiatives constantly arising from our dynamic business environment.
The position of Finance Business Partner for Business Finance Procurement is a very broad role which requires strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Flexibility and openness to changing requirements are also key as our business environment is constantly developing and changing
As such you should be an independent and outgoing team player with excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to engage, guide and challenge across functions and disciplines.
You should be a goal oriented and self-driven individual, who thrives on achieving results independently and as part of a team.
Furthermore you:
• Hold a degree in Finance, procurement, economics or equivalent. Candidates with no degree but equivalent experience also considered.
• Have an understanding of finance and a sincere interest in working with and supporting the business in driving performance and value.
• Are used to and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced and changing international environment dealing with many different tasks at the same time.
• Have a strong logical and analytical capacity being able to provide insights in complex settings.
• Experience within a similar role or function in a large international company desired.
• Are fluent in English, written and spoken. Danish is not a
requirement.
