The Logistics & Services (L&S) Finance organization is looking for a talented and motivated Financial Planning Analyst to join the L&S Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of setting the future direction for the L&S division, by supporting stakeholders and senior management in driving profitable growth in a strategically critical segment of the overall Maersk strategy, resolving strategic challenges on how to bring the vision of becoming the integrator of container logistics to life. The integrator strategy of how to marry landside logistics with ocean logistics is a fast paced, challenging and fun journey.

FP&A is a focal point in the diverse L&S portfolio, being the central anchor point in terms of performance management, management reporting, external reporting, investment analysis, forecasting, budgeting and other finance related business support, across the large product portfolio within L&S.

As a Financial Planning Analyst in FP&A, you will work across functions, brands and divisions together with a pool of highly skilled and talented people in an international environment. You will get empowerment and senior management exposure towards the CFO of the L&S division and finance teams across geographies. Key Responsibilities

You will be functionally reporting to the Head of L&S FP&A and interact with multiple stakeholders within Maersk, primarily across the various finance teams.

Your main responsibilities will be to optimize and drive the global investment process, including business case review, investment follow-up etc. You will also be responsible for invested capital and cash flow planning in close collaboration with stakeholders in other finance teams and with senior management. You will report to stakeholders with clear business and financial insights and perform analyses of investment decisions to identify and suggest appropriate actions.

Specific responsibilities as Financial Planning Analyst in FP&A:

• Further improve the management reporting framework across a very diverse portfolio for all corporate cycles.

• Drive accurate, timely and aligned reporting of financial performance incl. investments follow-up.
• Facilitate the Maersk Operating System (MOS) and standard work within the L&S finance organization by driving the investments, balance sheet and cash flow planning and process optimization.
• Understand the business and finance footprint to proactively support with insight impacting forward looking investment/business decision making and improve business results.
• Drive various ad hoc financial analyses to senior stakeholders across Maersk.
• Play a key role in our journey of using data to better predict future performance for L&S.

Your competences include that you

• Hold a Master’s degree in finance or economics (Cand.Merc, Cand.Polit, Cand.Oecon if from Denmark, or equivalent).
• Ideally you have recently graduated or have approximately 1 year of work experience from positions within finance, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, performance management, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development, or equivalent.
• You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in understanding the business to drive performance and value.
• You are results driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity being well organized with high attention to detail.
• You are a self-starter with a strong driving force, striving for continuous improvement and wanting to solve problems even if finding answers are not easy.
• You are a team player who are used to and enjoy working independently with ability to engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple stakeholders.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong integrity and a humble personality that goes well with people at all levels in a global organization.
• You will work with all levels of our organization which requires a clear understanding of the level of quality and commitment required to meet ambitious targets and transform our business as well as financial processes.
• You should have a ‘self-starter attitude’ and independently be able to focus, see opportunities and invite yourself to the table.
• You are skilled in written and spoken English. Danish is not required.
