Business Finance is a focal point in Sealand Europe for management reporting, financial analysis supporting decision making and overall finance partnering.
We offer a unique opportunity to learn our business end to. We are looking for a permanent position that initially will be covering for a maternity leave on our logistics and services priorities. Post this period the candidate will move into other areas of our scope with one being Finance Partner to our Ocean carrier business.
With the aim of anchoring 'Finance' within the business we are organized and work in a way that’s directly aligned to our business stakeholders. The L&S (Logistic and Services) FBP supports the business stakeholders on finance and general performance related matters.
L&S is a strategic growth area for Maersk Sealand where focus will be on heavy but profitable growth. This means that this will be a high impact role with stakeholders across the company and at all level where you will get the chance to form and develop the role together with your stakeholders.

As a Finance Partner you will initially be dedicated to the Logistic and Services. You will hence work as a ‘mini CFO’ and sparring partner towards your commercial stakeholders.
You will support their decision-making process by providing financial management information, deep dive analysis, performance management and financial planning.
The role of the candidate is to work with the business to understand their business information needs and to design and develop an operating model where performance is discussed and driven seamlessly across the organisation from Frontline to senior management in HQ.
Through close interaction with your stakeholders, the candidate will perform deep dive analysis of performance trends and influence appropriate actions to ensure financial results and objectives are met and/or exceeded.
You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in working with and supporting the business in driving performance and value.
We expect you to have an 'analytic mindset' - being able to zoom in on the relevant details, while never losing sight of the big picture.
You are a relationship-oriented team player with strong communication skills, enabling you to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.
The corporate language is English, so you should be fluent in oral as well as written English.
Finally, you should have a 'self-starter attitude' and be able to see opportunities and invite yourself to the table.
Technical Skills:
• You master key disciplines in business controlling (system- and data understanding and translating data into business insights)
• You hold strong Excel skills and extensive experience in using business intelligence platforms
• You have excellent analytical skills
• Fluent in English
Relevant experience:
• At least 5-7 years of experience from a business controlling or FBP position
• Proven track record of business impact
• Financial education (master level)
Business Skills:
• You have a natural flair for business understanding incl. the ability to quickly obtain business insight (business strategy, trades / products, market conditions, network and underlying value drivers, etc.)
• You take a holistic approach to information at hand and act accordingly
• You master the ability to present analytics in a clear and concise manner (verbal and in writing)
You understand the importance of stakeholder management and possess solid collaboration skills.
