About the department
The Research & Development IT (R&D IT) Lab Solutions team is an entirely new department within R&D IT anchored in Global IT. The department consist of 10 people divided between several Business Analyst roles, an IT Process Manager, an IT Service Manager, an IT Security Manager, a department Manager and IT supporters that helps the research laboratories with their day2day IT challenges. R&D IT is responsible for a majority of IT systems and IT projects in Research & Early Development (R&ED). With an ambitious digital agenda, they wish to drive new IT initiatives in a dynamic working environment, with high levels of activity and an agile way of working.
The department will have a close link to all research sites, but mainly anchored at the Måløv site. R&D IT Lab Solutions will have many roles supporting the scientists, technicians, and their research all over the world, offering plenty of opportunities to visit sites based in Beijing, Oxford, Seattle, and Bangalore.
As this is an entirely new department within Global IT, the opportunity to develop and nurture your skills as well as taking part in shaping the future of the R&D IT Lab Solutions team will be very rich.
About the position
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and driving a system overview of ALL laboratory IT systems across ALL research sites in R&ED globally. Today all departments have various overviews but in order to implement a portfolio strategy for the systems you will be responsible for structuring and automating the system overview on a relevant platform like e.g. ServiceNow. Thus, meaning you will drive an automated overview of the existing as well as future lab systems and creating an automatic feed of system data that will be the starting point for the portfolio strategy and will help the digitalisation and automation agenda in Novo Nordisk.
You will also be leading IT initiatives by improving the current IT infrastructures in laboratories by rolling out new IT services so the day2day operation of the lab IT systems will be as automated and easy as possible. This could e.g. be to drive the development and roll out of onboarding, patching, and monitoring tools, to support self-service and automation of system management in the labs and provide an up-to-date system overview.
As a Business Analyst, you will be spending most of your time onsite. An important aspect of this position is close collaboration with the lab scientists and technicians and your supportation of their research. Therefore, it is vital that you share a natural interest and curiosity of the exciting research processes ongoing in the labs.

- In collaboration with Global IT, build and expand global monitoring service for laboratory computers.
- Drive the development and roll out of various IT solutions to support increased self-service and automation of system management in the labs

- Excellent communication skills in English, written and orally.
It is an advantage if you possess one or more of the following skills:
- A degree at minimum BA level of science or Business in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business).
- A natural flair for IT and data driven strategies.
- A desire to breach barriers and build from the ground up.
- Experience with research labs and data digitalisation.
