Your Key Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with proven hands-on experience in managing all aspects of corporate accounting. With reference to the company CFO, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and collections.
  • Process and manage all aspects of employee salary payments, including maintaining and updating payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements etc.
  • Coordinate and support audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, preparing and submitting tax and VAT returns and other statutory filings as required.
  • Develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Qualifications
  • You have a relevant educational background, for instance with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience in preparing, implementing and optimizing processes within finance and accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.

We are in the process of introducing a new ERP system, and you will be expected to take active part in configuring and implementing the system – primarily on the financial side. Hence, proficiency in ERP software is a requirement.

You can work independently, and you solve your tasks systematically and with excellent attention to detail. At the same time, you are flexible, have go-getter courage and can handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
