Finance Analyst for CIO/Global IT Management

A business-oriented approach
As Demant continues to grow and the digital footprint expands in all areas of the business, the task of managing the global IT function in Demant gets bigger and more complex. Our technology development and budget constraints drive the need for an even more business orientated approach toward financial management and investment decisions in global IT.
Controlling the IT finance numbers
The Global IT Organization has recently re-organized towards a more business area focused structure with dedicated IT directors for each of the 5 Demant business areas and teams managing the functions that are shared across the Demant Group. This new structure has called for more control of the IT finance numbers.
Joining us, you can look forward to the following responsibilities:
• Facilitate the budget processes including hands-on preparation of the final consolidated budget and budget presentation to the Global IT Board/Demant Management
• Monthly cost follow-up including the synthesis of deviations and action plans to mitigate deviations
• Perform financial analysis, including action plans
• Improve and maintain processes for cost follow-up and analysis in Apptio (our IT cost management/reporting tool)
• Driving smaller projects – primarily focusing on cost/finance/license management
• Preparation of ad-hoc business cases as a foundation for strategic IT decisions such as sourcing models, change of technology providers, etc.
In addition to the cost and finance management activities there is also need for support to the CIO and IT Management on various administrative tasks such as meeting agenda preparation, driving annual recurring activities and preparing presentations and other communication materials to stakeholders.
You will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy and portfolio Management. Your most important stakeholders will be our CIO and the rest of global IT management, the HR Business Partner of IT, key persons in finance and occasionally management of Group Services.
Establish a good financial understanding in IT Management
It´s essential that you get your motivation from working with analysis and optimization of processes in the field of finance in a larger global organisation. An essential part of the job is to establish a good financial understanding in IT Management. Therefore, it´s important that you exceed in providing a structured approach and taking pride in keeping “everything in order”. Above all, we value your exceptional analytical abilities, your problem-solving skills (both quantitative and qualitative) and your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
Your educational background
Currently you might find yourself working in a similar role in another global company. It´s important that you have some years of experience possibly from finance controlling, investor relations or management consulting. Additional to your experience you most likely have a bachelor or master's degree in e.g. Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Accounting.
If you decide to join us, this could also lay the foundation for future strategic or leadership assignments in global IT and other functions in Demant.
