As Risk Manager you will be responsible for the Middle Office tasks to support our Energy Trading & PPA team. You will be responsible for implementing our new Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system and be the system owner. Your workday will involve the continuous validation of power curves, asset exposures and deals in the system as well as reporting of positions and risks. The position also entails compliance reporting as well as securing appropriate governance for deal approvals.

As Risk Manager you will be responsible for the Middle Office tasks to support our Energy Trading & PPA team. You will be responsible for implementing our new Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system and be the system owner. Your workday will involve the continuous validation of power curves, asset exposures and deals in the system as well as reporting of positions and risks. The position also entails compliance reporting as well as securing appropriate governance for deal approvals.
Areas of responsibilities
- Reporting power market positions based on ownership of assets (IPP portfolio)
- Maintain and report an overview of PPA structuring needs from projects in development or under construction
- Mark-to-market valuation and reporting of deals
- Update of power curves and maintain master data in the Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) system
- Being system owner of the ETRM system and the interfaces to other systems
- Ensure appropriate governance setup for deal approvals
- Compliance reporting (REMIT and EMIR)
Your profile
- You hold a M.Sc. in Finance, Economics or similar
- You have a couple of years of experience from a similar middle office role from the financial industry, energy markets or similar
- You have very strong IT skills: Understanding of data models and programming, VBA / Python
- You enjoy delivering on daily operational routines like power curves, reporting, compliance etc.
- You have a strong interest in getting a deep understanding of power markets and renewable assets
- You have a high level of energy and drive
- You have the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
- You have full language proficiency in English
- You are good at communicating with others and working together with various teams
