Treasury Manager to Lundbeck


Unique opportunity to become part of a mature Group Treasury function that works with forward-looking and professionally challenging projects and tasks, and where you, besides being primary lead in FX, Interest, and Insurances, will be actively involved in e.g., funding and M&A activities. The role works out of the Corporate HQ in Valby, Copenhagen, and there is room for working from home when needed.

Meet the Team

You will join a dedicated team of three responsible for Group Treasury, including, but not limited to, financial risk management, funding, cash & liquidity management, and insurances and support cross functional projects. Besides having own areas of responsibility, they work collaboratively as a team across all areas.

Group Treasury & Insurance is part of Treasury, Finance Processes & Strategy Office, which is part of Group Finance with around 44 FTE’s. In total Lundbeck’s Global Finance organization has 250 FTE’s.

The Treasury team is supported by a Treasury operations back-office (Lundbeck GBS) located in Krakow, Poland that handles a large part of the day-to-day controlling tasks. This allows time to focus on value-adding tasks, and the tactical and strategic aspects of Treasury. Group Treasury has extensive cooperation with other teams in Group Finance, subsidiaries, executive management as well as external parties such as banks, Insurance brokers etc.

The Job

You will be working with a wide range of activities and projects within the Treasury field with main focus on FX, Interest and Insurances, and your responsibilities include:

  • FX management including active trading and FX strategy in both day-to-day and ad-hoc strategic situations such as M&A etc.
  • Managing insurance programs, including renewals, negotiations and analysis of optimal insurance levels.
  • Produce and develop the monthly Treasury Reporting which include key KPIs, policy measures and explanations.
  • Key driver in dialogue with auditors regarding Treasury areas such as i.e. FX, financial cost/income, Net Investment hedging etc.
  • Further develop and optimize reporting tools and procedures within Treasury.
  • Ad hoc projects.

The Profile

For Lundbeck, we are looking for an ambitious treasury professional with an analytical mindset, combined with having flair for business partnering, communication and negotiation. It is natural for you to share knowledge with your colleagues, and towards your stakeholders, you present yourself as trustworthy, credible and reliable. As a person, you are honest, empathic and are an excellent team player. Your flexible and engaging personality is supplemented by professional skills in areas such as:

  • 7+ years’ experience in Corporate Treasury, Corporate Finance, Banking, Treasury consultancy or similar.
  • Experience in FX and/or Insurances are a great advantage.
  • A master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
  • Experience from a treasury function in a large international company, with experience in financial markets, and use of financial instruments.
  • TMS systems knowledge and flair – Experience with CGI TWIN is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • MS office applications, specifically Excel and PP.
  • Fluency in English, orally and in writing.
