European Energy covers all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early project development to operation and/or divestment of the assets as well as PtX. We are more than 400 employees with 30 different nationalities, and since 2004 we have installed more than 100 renewable projects representing a total value of more than DKK 15 billion. Currently, we have a development pipeline exceeding 25 GW and operate globally with our head quarter located in Copenhagen and offices in Sweden, United Kingdom Romania, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Spain and more to come. As a Wind Originator Manager, you will work with our existing and future activities within wind projects in Spain. You will be part of our Spanish project team which today consists of 5 colleagues based in our office in Barcelona, 1 colleague in Copenhagen and 2 colleagues in Portugal. The team is responsible for identifying, engaging, and negotiating with landowners/development partners to obtain land rights to develop utility-scale wind energy projects. Your primary responsibility will be to identify sites for wind farms and develop new wind projects in Spain.

The projects are both greenfield but also potential hybrid (PV, H2) projects in cases where we have already secured a grid connection. Your day-to-day tasks include supervising/performing feasibility studies related to wind farms under development, conducting site visits, having the daily dialogue with different stakeholders, and taking the lead on the permitting process for new wind projects in our pipeline. The position is based in Barcelona with frequent travels inside Spain and occasionally to our HQ in Copenhagen. It can also be remote with frequent travels to Barcelona.

Areas of responsibility

• Identify potential areas to develop wind farms
• Lead the permitting process to develop wind farms
• Negotiate with landowners and local authorities
• Supervise/Design of the preliminary study and development phase for the wind farms
• Supervise/Design of implementation plans
• Supervise/Energy simulations
• Supervise/Electrical design of the plant
• Supervise/Perform feasibility studies in plots of land to develop wind farms

Professional skills we expect from you

• Engineering or Business Background
• Experience in the development of wind energy permits in Spain
• Experience preparing wind studies is an advantage
• Design of wind farms using specific software is an advantage
• Design of electrical installations is an advantage
• Knowledge of GIS tools is an advantage
• Experience working with Autocad and Wind Pro is an advantage
• You master Spanish and English
