What will you be doing:

As our new Kitchen Coordinator, you will have two different roles: Kitchen Chef and Volunteer Coordinator: As Kitchen Chef, your main responsibilities will be:
• Develop our plant-based menu
• Being lead in implementing our “kitchen 2.0” strategy
• Various cooking tasks including food preps, evening servings and catering events
• Purchase and financial monitoring
• Updating and implementing hygiene procedures
• coordinating a group of 2-3 student assistantsWhat will you be doing:Kitchen ChefVolunteer CoordinatorKitchen ChefAs Coordinator of our Volunteers, you will be:
• Coordinating a group of 10-20 kitchen volunteers
• Organizing workshops, developing guidelines and other initiatives, that ensures our capacity of kitchen volunteersCoordinator of our Volunteers
Who are you:

To be a good fit for the position, we expect you to have:
• Experience with working in a professional kitchen, preferably with plant-based menu items
• Knowledge of volunteer coordination
• Ability to work as a team
• A good financial understanding
• Strong English language skills

If you are also experienced within project management and facilitation, it’s an advantage.Who are you:

Café Mellemfolk works as a social entrepreneurship project, making it the financial backbone of our activities in Aarhus. Here, our plant-based kitchen has proven a strong component of our income and in the coming months we will develop this even further, introducing daily dishes troughout the whole week. To implement this, we are looking for a kitchen coordinator to lead the process together with our team of Global Platform coordinators.
Global Platform Denmark consists of two volunteer hubs based in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
