Senior Sustainability Manager - to play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our sustainability strategy.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sustainability Manager to join our Group Strategy and Sustainability team at European Energy. As our new colleague, you will lead best-in-class implementation of International Sustainability Standards in our renewables’ portfolio, secure substantial progress across Sustainability Strategic Priorities and support the implementation of decarbonization and circular practices through design, optimization and sourcing.
The team
The Group Strategy team is an international and engaged group of 30 people with diverse backgrounds ranging from top-tier consultancies to environmental management and ESG. We are divided into three core pillars: Group Strategy, Group Sustainability, and Group Project Management Office.
Overall, our team is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic agenda, leading M&A processes, setting our ambitious direction for sustainability, and building, implementing, and maintaining a best-in-class future operating model. Our team reports directly to the company CEO, and you will be reporting to the Head of Group Sustainability.

How you will create impact
We offer an opportunity to take on a senior role in the renewables sector with great responsibility and tangible impact on the global challenges of accelerating the green transition in a sustainable way. You will specifically take on responsibilities such as:
- Shape, drive and expand the implementation of international sustainability standards and regulations on topics such as circular economy, biodiversity, climate change, Science Based Targets (SBTi), net zero emission strategies and life cycle assessment across the organization
- Manage and support Sustainability Workstream Leads in the organization to deliver on sustainability initiatives in our 2026 sustainability strategy
- Lead development of sustainability frameworks and procedures on sustainability requirements across solar PV, Wind and Power-to-X projects
- Foster capacity-building across the organization’s line functions on the practical implementation of sustainability standards at asset-level
- Participating in, and supporting, non-financial data collection and the integrated reporting process
- Design, implement and drive sustainability approach across suppliers and stakeholders in the full value chain focusing on decarbonization and resource management

What we look for

- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance or similar
- Several years of continuous project management with large, complex and global corporate projects focusing on sustainability
- A strong and empathetic team player attitude with great people skills anda positive attitude towards challenges
