Commercial Decarb Analyst

Are you drawn to the challenge of contributing to a team that's at the forefront of decarbonisation and product innovation? If you're passionate about making a tangible impact on environmental sustainability and eager to be part of a strategic initiative within a leading global company, this role offers an exciting pathway for your career.

In our Decarbonisation & Products Business Development team at Svitzer we are focused on translating decarbonisation initiatives into meaningful initiatives for our customers. As a Commercial Decarb Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in propelling our ambitious decarbonisation agenda forward, helping to refine and scale innovative products that promise a greener future.

Who We Are

Svitzer is at the forefront of providing towage and sustainable marine solutions worldwide, operating across 37 countries. Our mission to enhance port and terminal safety and efficiency is powered by a fleet of 450+ vessels and a dedicated workforce of 4,000 professionals.

Svitzer is currently on a new journey, separating from the Maersk Group and becoming a listed company on the Danish stock exchange end April 2024. In recent years, we have grown through new contracts and acquisitions, and growing continues to be a focus.

We operate globally 24/7, which means that things rarely stand still. However, we are good at manoeuvring being busy, as we enjoy working as a team by listening to and helping each other.

What We Offer

Embark on a journey where your professional growth is intertwined with our steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability. In the role of Commercial Decarb Analyst, you will find more than just a job — you will discover a place where your contributions have lasting impact, not only on our company but on the planet.

At Svitzer, we understand that our team's well-being is paramount to achieving our ambitious goals. That is why we have cultivated an environment that supports not just the professional, but the personal development of every team member. With us, you will have the opportunity to shape your path, take on challenging projects, and work autonomously within a supportive, engaging framework.

The position of Commercial Decarb Analyst reports to the Head of Decarb & Products Business Development and is based at our head office in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. In this role, you will be part of an international community that values professionalism and ambition as much as it does a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Our organizational structure is designed to be flat and efficient, fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusiveness. We embrace flexible working arrangements, encouraging work-from-home options to balance productivity with personal well-being. At Svitzer, we prioritize enjoyment in our work, lead with care, and embrace opportunities to learn from each other, understanding that together, we can achieve remarkable things.

Key Responsibilities

As a critical member of the Decarbonisation & Products Business Development team, your role is pivotal in leveraging data and supporting various initiatives to drive our mission forward. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Excelling in Data Integrity and Analytics: Ensure the highest standards of data quality are maintained across all platforms and processes. Your expertise in Power BI will be instrumental in developing and maintaining dynamic dashboards that provide actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Leading in Power BI Dashboard Creation: Craft comprehensive and insightful dashboards in Power BI. These tools will not only support our business strategies but also ensure that complex data is accessible and understandable to stakeholders, enhancing our ability to communicate value propositions effectively
  • Supporting Business Case Development: Play a pivotal role in building business cases and tender submissions, providing the data-driven backbone for strategic initiatives. Your ability to integrate and articulate data insights will be key to differentiating our tender submissions, aligning with client needs, and showcasing the value and innovation we bring to the table
  • Fostering Collaboration for Data Excellence: Work hand-in-hand with teams both at headquarters and in regional offices to ensure seamless data integration and process refinement. Your collaborative efforts will bridge gaps between departments, ensuring data alignment, facilitating cross-functional understanding, and bolstering our collective ability to achieve strategic objectives
  • Lead smaller initiatives with the support of other team members: as you will grow proficient in your role, there will be space to grow and to take on smaller initiatives as a Project manager with the support of your other team members.

Who We Are Looking For

You may be a young professional with a passion for decarbonisation, which is matched by your skills in dashboard development, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement, and project management.

You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy learning, and are motivated by impactful work. Ideal qualities include:

  • Excellent Excel, Power BI skills

  • Candidates must hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
