Maersk Air Cargo is the internal airline of Maersk, operating approximately 20 widebody freighter aircraft on both short haul and long haul.

From the headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, Maersk Air Cargo supports the logistics integrator strategy of Maersk by delivering air cargo capacity to Maersk’s global air network.

We are looking for a seasoned professional for our Business Development & Project Management team. You will be part of the team responsible for both Transformation and Business Development.

Among many things you will drive the development of new revenue streams. You will drive strategic initiatives, key analysis, project management, communication, memo creation, process optimization and other things supporting the Head of Business Development & Transformation and the leadership team of Maersk Air Cargo.

Key Responsibilities

The role is reporting to and supporting the Head of Business Development & Transformation under the following key responsibilities:

• Support deployment of excess capacity: Manage ad hoc charter flights from pricing, planning to execution as well as customer relations.
  
  
• Drive and own impactful projects of cross-functional and strategic character from planning to execution - often related to transformation and/or further integration with Maersk group.
  
  
• Build sound project plans and business cases (Business Memos)
  
  
• Internal Project Management Expert – changing project culture and supporting individual departments to lift project management skills across Maersk Air Cargo.
  
  
• Ad hoc support to Maersk Air Cargo leadership team
  
  
• General communication of MAC activities.
  
  

Who we are looking for

A highly structured & analytical candidate with solid experience with project management and strong stakeholder management skills are key capabilities for this role. Candidate is also expected to have a strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and execution.

Other skill sets making a highly attractive candidate:

• Hands-on, can-do and self-starter approach.
  
  
• Experience from logistics or a global industry.
  
  
• Maersk Experience is an advantage.
  
  
• Commercial flair & customer contract negotiation skills is a must
  
  
• Problem solving skills
