As a Laboratory Animal Veterinarian at [xxxxx], your main responsibilities will include:

Overseeing animal health in the animal facilities and providing individual or group treatment according to best practices.

Providing guidance on project-related protocols involving experimental work and relevant regulations and guidelines within Laboratory Animal Science

Providing guidance on anesthesia, analgesia, pain management, sampling, postoperative care, and autopsies

Assisting and advising on surgical procedures and other complex procedures.

Contributing e to the formal and informal training of all staff working with animals.

Ensuring adherence to [xxxxx] bioethical guidelines and advise on 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement) and state-of-the-art animal welfare standards

Collaborating with other laboratory animal veterinarians on a 6 on-call rotation

Utilizing your excellent IT skills to ensure solid data collection

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

Danish authorization as a veterinarian

A Danish Course in Laboratory Animal Science (EU Function AD, formerly known as FELASA B)

Laboratory animal experience or postgraduate research experience in biomedical science preferred, but recent graduates will also be considered.

Excellent IT skills with a flair for data handling

Passion for animal welfare
