Data Governance Engineer

[xxxxx], a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology, is seeking an experienced Data Governance Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in defining and implementing the processes, tools, and operating model necessary for effective data governance across our organization.

What is the job about?

As a Data Governance Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing a framework that ensures data accuracy, accessibility, consistency, and security. Your knowledge will shape the creation of strategic approaches aimed at improving our data governance, contributing to our commitment to devising innovative responses to global water and climate issues.

Your main responsibilities:

Develop needed components of the [xxxxx] data Governance Operating Model
Train the [xxxxx] organization on how to Implement the Data Governance Operating Model
Develop data pipeline infrastructure with automated governance in collaboration with data platform teams.
Build data governance technology roadmap in collaboration with Data Governance leadership.
Build data governance tooling.
Build data quality tooling.
Develop and implement Collibra Workflows.
Publish content in the ‘Data Governance Operating Model Playbook’.
Public content in the ‘Data Design Playbook’.

Your background:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proven experience in data management and governance.
Proficiency in Java, .Net, C and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with data documentation, modeling, and Business Process Modeling (BPM2.0).
Experience with Collibra or similar data governance IT systems is highly desirable.
