Opportunity
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our renewable energy logistics services. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, driving the company’s strategic initiatives for a sustainable future in the renewable energy sector and:

Business Strategy & Planning:

  • Identify trends, opportunities, and competitors within the renewable energy logistics sector.
  • Analyse customer needs, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Develop, organise and implement the sales strategy for your portfolio.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Build and grow client portfolio and develop long term partnerships with new and existing clients.
  • Develop, manage and execute a global pursuit plan encompassing all Maersk products in accordance with the strategic plan for customer pursuits.
  • Develop and drive a global pursuit strategy, including the virtual network of local sales in multiple geographies.
  • In conjunction with the relevant Customer Experience teams such as Implementation and Program Management, ensure successful business onboarding and compliance throughout the contracting period.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Project manage the sales process throughout the bidding, negotiating and closing stages.
  • Accountable for the result delivery derived from sales activities within the customer portfolio through the identification, qualifying, consulting, developing value propositions and selling large scale and complex supply chain solutions.
  • Manage pursuits from “Cradle” to “Grave” ensuring internal and external stakeholders are involved as and when required.
  • In conjunction with the relevant product teams, help define and build global end to end solutions to address customer pain points and align with the customers logistics strategy.

We’re looking for

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the logistics or renewable energy sectors.
  • Significant experience in International Supply Chain
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • High affinity to online way of working, CRM systems, and handling multi stakeholder processes in global scale, and international corporations.
  • You are fluent in English and a local language Swedish/Danish/Norwegian both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Well-versed in advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment, and create networks across diverse technical, cultural, and language groups
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand a customer’s financial landscape enabling the development of solutions to help deliver value to the customer
  • Able to build a deep knowledge of target customers’ strategic intent and current market position and identify opportunities for strategic partnership.
  • Highly developed consultative selling approach, persuasiveness and influencing skills with the ability to handle most common customer objections.
