The role:

The role involves identifying lucrative business opportunities within the Aid & Relief and Government vertical sector. As a vital member of our team, you'll contribute to a collective understanding of the significance of engaging in long-term strategic contracts and responding promptly to crisis situations worldwide. This leadership position comes with the responsibility of setting a sterling example and motivating the team to achieve optimal performance. With a dedicated focus on achieving top-line growth objectives, this role, working alongside the Growth leader team, takes charge of overseeing the product's sales pipeline in Europe. The aim is to ensure that the product's growth is in harmony with the financial planning within the vertical. Furthermore, this role plays a crucial part in steering the product's strategic growth initiatives to attain the annual budgeted revenues and volumes, underscoring the importance of a well-rounded approach to success.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead by example, fostering a high-performance environment within the professional team.
  • Actively participate in setting MPL's growth strategy for Aid/Relief & Government sales in Europe and globally.
  • Establish the customer engagement model between Sales and the product growth enablement team.

Business Development:

  • Co-sponsor and actively lead the RFI, RFQ, and RFP process for MPL, ensuring comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Review and vet contracts to ensure compliance with product technical standards and requirements.
  • Support new business pursuits, collaborating with sales/internal stakeholders to deliver compelling business proposals.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Contribute to establishing the Go-to-Market strategy within the Aid/Relief & Government sector.
  • Consolidate and share market information, including development, competition, customer, and pricing trends.
  • Contribute to the annual sales target setting process, engaging with Finance and Sales.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor the sales pipeline to ensure alignment with financial planning, focusing on top-line growth objectives.
  • Ensure consistent monthly delivery of budgeted GP by actively tracking business wins and conversion ratios across all sales channels.
  • Provide accurate and precise monthly reporting to management.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with MPL Europe stakeholders to compile annual growth plan initiatives.
  • Provide product input for marketing and commercial activities.
  • Utilize strong communication and presentation skills in customer-facing engagements.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10+ years of logistics experience in complex supply chain operations.
  • Experience in the Aid/Relief and Government verticals.
  • Extensive technical product knowledge, including experience in pricing and go-to-market strategies within the vertical.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing engagements and presentations.
  • Understanding of key profitability drivers in project logistics and supply chain management.
