The role as Operations manager offers a great opportunity to be part of a winning team and be a strong enabler in shaping the success of our increased focus on Project Logistics. You will take the lead of building up our Operational Renewables Wind Department and be part of the Maersk Project Logistics Product who desires to deliver best in class service, effective communication, cost awareness and continuous improvements, which supports our growth aspirations and the success of our customers within Renewables Project Logistics.

The position is located in Aarhus, Denmark.

Key responsibilities

As an Operations Manager, you will be a part of the Maersk Project Logistics product with more than 150 colleagues globally. Within the Product, you will operate in our Renewables Department, where we strive to serve our Project Logistics clients at the highest level. The department consists of 3 Operations Managers and 20 Project Managers. The position requires an entrepreneurial mindset with initial task of building on the team across Europe. Together with your new team you will play a key role in designing tailor-made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers in the Renewables industry as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.

Your main responsibilities will, among others, be:

  • Manage and build a team with a European footprint of 7-10 experienced Project Managers who will have extensive travel periods from time to time
  • Bring your operational mindset and capabilities to play in building up the team
  • Be the guiding star in a complex working environment for the Project Managers
  • Project coordination and execution, including on ground supervision via your team
  • Leading the Continuous improvement towards our customers

What you'll bring:

  • Proven Leadership skills and experience from building teams would be an advantage
  • Experience from Project Execution is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written fluency in English
  • Eagerness to be best in class and part of a winning team
  • Ability to be flexible when needed as our job is not always 8-16
  • Ability to travel approx. 30 days a year
