Scientist for the Cell Bank Are you passionate about working with GMP? Do you thrive working on and drive cross functional projects? The position In the cell bank team we produce and maintain the cell banks for all Novo Nordisk products. You will be in charge of cell bank projects, produce documentation, keep track of timelines and deliveries from stake holders. You will be handling documentation to ensure that the production, storage and characterisation of our cell banks are following internal and external quality requirements. You will also have tasks within the broader field of the cell banking process that include e.g control of facility, environment, equipment and shipments. You will furthermore handle change requests to implement changes in existing processes and handle deviations where systematic problem solving is used. The LEAN and GMP principles will be a corner stone in your workday. You will be involved in preparing filing documentation for clinical trials and market for new products. Because we produce and maintain the inoculation material for all Novo Nordisk products, you will be involved in audits and inspections as well as questions from the Health Authorities and must be comfortable in presenting our work to inspectors.
Qualifications You have experience within the pharmaceutical industry, as well as experience from working in a GMP environment. You will be in daily contact with scientists, technicians, production employees, project managers, analytical laboratories, and other stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you are a strong communicator and that you master Danish and English both orally and in writing. We expect you to plan, execute and report assignments independently and in cooperation with your team colleagues. You must expect ad hoc tasks during the daily work and should be good in managing your time to meet deadlines timely. The ideal candidate has: A master’s degree in the field of natural science with 3-7 years of relevant experience from pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record within GMP. Experience with inspections by health authorities Knowledge about microbial cell culturing As a person you: Have a strong quality and analytical mindset Are able to create solutions when standards are challenged, although always with respect for the cGMP world that we operate in. Thrive in an environment with many different tasks in a broad range of areas within the cell banking process. Are strong in writing documents of good quality and feel comfortable in presenting our work for national and international inspectors. Are able to independently drive projects with many stakeholders. Enjoy a working day with very diverse tasks and frequent ad hoc assignments Have good collaborative skills Are goal oriented and take pride in delivering your tasks at the right time, in the right quality
About the department Upstream Development is anchored in CMC API Development. CMC API Development is a part of the R&ED organisation that manufactures and controls new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk. The scientist position is in the cell bank team of Upstream Development. The cell bank team consists of both lab technicians and scientists. The team is responsible for mammalian and microbial cell banks and is positioned on two locations, Bagsværd and Hillerød, Denmark.
