We are strengthening our spray drying group and are therefore hiring an experienced development scientist for a position in the CMC API Development area. If you find spray drying and freeze-drying challenges exciting and inspiring, and you have experience with these unit operations from previous industrial jobs or academia, you may be our new scientist. The PositionIn this position you will be responsible for the drying processes of allocated projects and having a general overview and in-depth knowledge of drying equipment and API’s. Your main tasks will be to: Perform, evaluate and report experimental work in the laboratory
Plan and provide data analysis on your development work
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, including trouble shooting on scientific and technical issues
Scale up, transfer and support our pilot facilities and CMO’s
Be innovative in experimental design and optimization, identifying new solutions, data handling and secure IPR

Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: A PhD or master’s degree in biochemical engineering, protein chemistry, pharmacy or similar
Experience in spray drying.
Good communication skills in English
You also have theoretical understanding in combination with practical experience and equipment knowledge from lab to pilot scale within spray drying process incl. knowledge of supporting analytics such as UPLC, TGA, Malvern, DSC and SEM. Furthermore, we expect that you have an innovative mindset enabling you to convert theory to practical solutions. You have excellent communication and cooperation skills and you thrive in a dynamic environment, where daily collaboration with multiple stakeholders is essential to your success. The position requires the ability to define and perform tasks independently with a strong commitment to drive complicated development project tasks towards a common goal. About the Department The job is placed in the department Downstream Development in Chemistry Manufacturing and Control (CMC) API Development, located in Bagsværd. Our main responsibility is to develop manufacturing processes for new proteins and peptides used in clinical trials. We do so in close collaboration with the research and manufacturing units, pilot facilities, and Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs).
