Studiejob - Ballerup

The Strategy and Leadership Development group at DTU Engineering Technology is looking for a student assistant to join us as soon as possible.

As a student assistant you will be affiliated with the research project entitled: “Diversity in technology: Finding new ways to solve wicked problems”. The project explores how diversity in teams and organizations influences their ability to create social innovation, which institutionalized barriers exist within the technology field, and how actors within this field might work to change established structures to enable a greater use of diverse talent. In terms of diversity, the focus will be on gender and ethnicity specifically (more information available at Diversity in Technology - DTU Engineering Technology ).

The job
You will provide research assistance and be involved in some of the following tasks:

  • Transcription of interviews
  • Data collection (primarily qualitative data such as collection of documents, interviews and observations)
  • Provide assistance in the structuring and analysis of interviews
  • Planning smaller events and conferences related to the project

Our expectations of you
We are looking for a student assistant who has an interest in studying diversity and innovation within the technology field of Denmark. We imagine that you are in process of a master’s degree or finishing your bachelor’s degree, specializing in a relevant social science education, and you have some experience with qualitative research methods (or an interest in working with these methods). You must be service minded, detail oriented and fluent in English and Danish, as most of our data sources will be in Danish.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State).

Working hours are on average 12-15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 15th of January or as soon as possible thereafter. The employment runs as long as you are an active student, or when the project ends 31st of July 2025.

The workplace is DTU Engineering Technology based on DTU’s Ballerup Campus.
