What you will do
Based in our office in Stavanger (Norway) or Esbjerg (Denmark), you will be responsible for leading the product development division that include our Development, DevOps and Quality Assurance departments. You will be responsible for the daily management of 20+ employees at multiple locations and their agile development of an industry leading intelligent renewable energy operations management and simulation software. Your focus will be to make sure we have the right people and skills, processes, and culture to enable our product teams to develop and deploy market driven products, while having fun along the way. As part of Shoreline’s senior leadership, you will work closely with other members of the management team to steer the strategic direction of the business as a whole, and you will report directly to the CEO.

We are looking for a VP of Product Development and Operations that has a passion for leadership and management of product development teams and departments, that are experienced with agile development methodologies, and have managed large and multi-cultural teams in the past.

Because the company is scaling extremely fast this position requires a leader that is comfortable leading and developing large, dynamic teams and complex processes.

In addition, it will be a strong advantage if you have experience with overseeing teams in an agile environment (SCRUM) and similarly an advantage if you have experience with working in a cloud and CMS environment.

What you will do

IN ADDITION, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruiting and retaining the right talent for our product teams to excel
- Leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team towards timely and high-quality deliverables
- Collaborating with our product managers to develop innovative solutions that support our mission
- Managing the engineering portfolio with a strong focus on “doing the right things and doing them right”
- Developing and implementing processes for our innovative engineering activities
- End-responsibility for the quality of our systems and reliability of the operation
- Coaching a young team of front end, back end, QA, and DevOps engineers, with an agile working method
- Ensuring the development pipeline as a whole contributes to the growth targets of the company and that our services run reliably within our Service-Level Agreements
- Making sure that our services are compliant with government regulations and the security requirements of our enterprise customers (you will be a part of our Security-team)
- Tracking, managing and setting OKR’s for the departments, making sure they are met, and providing regular reporting to the Company’s Board of Directors.
Who you are
We are looking for a VP of Product Development and Operations that has a passion for leadership and management of product development teams and departments, that are experienced with agile development methodologies, and have managed large and multi-cultural teams in the past.
Furthermore:
- You are a team player with a creative and innovative mindset, who can be pragmatic and make tough decisions when the situation calls for it.
- You have 5+ years of managing product/development teams.
- You have full oral and written proficiency in English.
Because the company is scaling extremely fast this position requires a leader that is comfortable leading and developing large, dynamic teams and complex processes.
You will be the one to develop and drive the team to success, and we need you to have talent and skills for:
- Bringing a team together, driving, motivating and inspiring them
- Thinking holistically and having a crossover business focus
- Taking on responsibility, initiative and making decisions
In addition, it will be a strong advantage if you have experience with overseeing teams in an agile environment (SCRUM) and similarly an advantage if you have experience with working in a cloud and CMS environment.
