Do you have experience within business development in China? Do you have a strong network in the furniture industry? Are you an excellent negotiator and communicator, and do you build strong relationships with your suppliers and stakeholders?

If you already are located around the Tianjin/Bazhou area in China and want to be part of an international furniture company, you might be our new Business Developer. Your primary responsibilities will include sourcing and developing new suppliers.

You find it natural to build strong, long-lasting relationships. Good relationships are key in this position as you will be working closely together with existing suppliers to improve performance and create relationships with new suppliers.

You will be sourcing and developing new suppliers and monitoring the competitive environment to identify the best Chinese suppliers. In the pursuit of smooth daily operations, you must be solution-oriented and master the art of troubleshooting. You will proactively follow up on all important milestones and implement procedures and requirements.

Self-driven communicator with commercial understanding

With a strong commercial understanding, you will be our everyday local eyes and ears, and you know, what to question, what to investigate and what to challenge to secure top performance. We expect you to have broad experience from trading companies and from the furniture industry. You have excellent negotiation and communications skills and impact through well-prepared facts and arguments.

When guiding and helping our suppliers you are always patient. In Actona Group we believe in teamwork so you must be willing to work in teams, but still be self-driven with a high sense of responsibility and proactivity. You are detailed and organized.

The perfect candidate:

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree or above in International Business.
  • Has +5 years professional experience – from international trading companies.
  • Has +5 years of relevant experience in the furniture industry.
  • Is fluent in English – oral + written
  • Is fluent in Chinese – oral + written
  • Has good IT skills – Microsoft Office, NAV is an advantage

About the job

Your primary work area is Hebei province – and nearby areas. Your home base is preferably in Tianjin/Bazhou area, and it is an advantage if you have a strong sourcing base in Shandong Heze area. You will have task-specific working hours which might vary from day to day.
