Polymer Specialist for the Surface & Film Materials team in Global R&D (maternity cover)

Welcome to the Surface & Film Materials team
At our headquarters in Humlebæk, Denmark, you will join a team of five scientists and two laboratory technicians. The team is part of Coloplast Global R&D – Technology with more than 150 highly passionate colleagues. We develop innovative solutions within ostomy, continence and wound care to help our end users live the life they want to live.

The position
As Polymer Specialist in our team, you will participate in cross-functional projects collaborating with other specialists within e.g. design, adhesives, mechanics, processes, marketing and project management. Your main responsibility will be project deliverables within polymer development and characterization, including documentation of material properties and performance. Moreover, you will contribute to materials testing alongside our laboratory technicians. The data generated by you will form the basis for central project decisions, ensuring that we deliver on user needs.

Qualifications
- Strong technical background as a chemical engineer, chemist or equivalent
- Experience with applied materials science, polymer chemistry, organic chemistry or similar. Product development experience within these fields is a plus
- Solid experience with statistical analysis
- Good product documentation skills, preferably within medical devices or another regulated industry
- You communicate effortlessly in English, both in speech and writing
