In this position, you will take on a dual position that will challenge you as an engineer and let you grow as a lead for other colleagues.
A team at the front of innovation
At our offices in Humlebæk, north of Copenhagen, you will be a part of our Mechanical Design team. We are dedicated to different development projects within the ostomy, continence and wound care categories, often in large project groups, along with other specialist teams throughout Coloplast.
The team has a strong focus on continuously developing better and faster ways of translating needs into specifications. Our products are manufactured in the millions, and we are therefore dedicated to tying different technologies together and producing the final devices with a constant focus on manufacturability, usability and user needs.

Innovate, motivate and lead the way
As a senior engineer, you will be allocated to 1-2 development projects, working on technical designs and providing technical advice – and through that use your expertise to change the future of Coloplast products. You will also spend time on coordinating and prioritising activities in your team, ensuring team members are motivated, focused and always on track. Your key responsibilities are:

As a senior engineer, you will be allocated to 1-2 development projects, working on technical designs and providing technical advice – and through that use your expertise to change the future of Coloplast products. You will also spend time on coordinating and prioritising activities in your team, ensuring team members are motivated, focused and always on track. Your key responsibilities are:
- Design new and innovative mechanical solutions for high-volume production
- Develop methods for identifying specification limits
- Identifying and mitigating possible user risks
- Ensure systematic and creative concept development and evaluation
- Support the transfer to production
- Take the responsibility for mechanical deliveries and be a role model for other mechanical design engineers in your projects and the point-of-contact for the Technical Project Manager
Experienced engineer with an interest in management

Apart from that, we are looking for you who:
- Have a solid background in mechanical engineering and plenty of experience with technical designs and product design documentation – preferably within the medical device industry
- Experienced with 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and 2D drawings is a plus
- Have some experience with early phase development and prototyping
- Have experience with volume production
- Know about statistical process control
- Are fluent in English
