Would you like to take the lead on new material technology projects that will enable the development of the next generation of Coloplast products?
Then grab this opportunity to make your mark on the core technology used in R&D in Coloplast. You will play an important role in making it possible for us to keep developing products that improves everyday life for people all over the world with intimate health care needs.
We drive material technology development
You will join global R&D in the Material Technology team. This is a team of 120 specialist, scientist and technicians at our HQ in Humlebæk, Denmark. Here, you will work closely together with two other technology project managers.

Scope material technology development projects
Your core mission is to mature technologies relevant for all areas of Coloplast’s product development. Doing so, you will lead 1-2 project teams at a time with up to 15 participants who are all experienced material technology specialists.
“In technology development, challenges are unpredictable. We apply an iterative approach where you have to dare pursue technology ideas that may end up being rejected due to other project factors. We always consider the project a success anyway, and then we move on,” elaborates Hanne.

Specifically, you will:
- Scope material technology projects based on technology needs – this can either be internally developed or new technology can be adapted in collaboration with external partners
- Develop project plans and carry out reviews, e.g. risk and maturity
- Set the direction for the project teams and challenge project members
- Ensure that the technology can be protected by patents and file these in collaboration with the Patent department
Do you bring experience with project management and technology development?
To succeed and thrive in this position, it is adamant you can navigate uncharted waters. Moreover, we expect you to bring:
- A master’s degree in material science, polymer science, chemistry or similar
- Several years of experience with early phase development, preferably within medical device
- Several years of experience with project management
- Proficiency in English
- Ideally, you participate in networks where you gain and share knowledge as well as bring experience from the medical device industry.
