Would you like to take the lead in developing coating technologies for new products that will make a real difference for people all over the world with intimate health care needs?

Step into a global R&D Materials Technology organisation
At Coloplast’s HQ in Humlebæk, you will join our Materials department where we are 35+ colleagues divided into 4 teams. We participate in technology maturing projects as well as development projects aiming to identify and develop the most suitable material solutions.
As part of Coloplast’s global R&D organisation with more than 500 employees, we collaborate and share laboratories with many other departments, and you will gain a wide network of highly skilled colleagues across our different functions. Moreover, your new department employs a buddy setup, meaning you will be assigned a laboratory technician with whom you will work together on one or more projects.
Mature and develop polymer coatings
You are expected to bring your broad knowledge into play as well as mentor more junior specialists from the team when working on a development or technology project. Collaboration with external partners from e.g. universities and/or the polymer industry is key, and you are able to make use of your existing network while building it further.
As R&D Senior Scientist, you will:
Hydrophilic polymeric coating specialist with cross-functional collaboration skills
As you will work cross-functionally - collaborating with areas such as Regulatory Affairs, QA, Medical Affairs and Marketing - it is vital that you are able to understand the function of others and likewise convey your specialist knowledge to them in an understandable manner.

- Support and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
- Take ownership and ensure that the projects are going in the right direction
- Take responsibility for selecting polymer coatings materials for new products
- Facilitate and perform testing and documentation
- Provide product specifications
- Draw on your scientific network and external sources of knowledge to make us even better
Hydrophilic polymeric coating specialist with cross-functional collaboration skills
As you will work cross-functionally - collaborating with areas such as Regulatory Affairs, QA, Medical Affairs and Marketing - it is vital that you are able to understand the function of others and likewise convey your specialist knowledge to them in an understandable manner.
Moreover, we expect you to:
- Have an MSc in chemical engineering, chemistry or similar specialised in polymers
- Bring 5+ years of experience with hydrophilic polymeric coatings in a product development context
- Have broad knowledge of polymer science
- Hold a deep understanding of statistics
- Communicate effortlessly in English
