PROJECT MANAGER – SAS CARGO
Over the last years we have seen increasing demand for cargo services worldwide. Demand is projected to continue increasing and the industry is facing a rapid digital transformation.
SAS Cargo has been successful in capturing the growth in the market and is an enabler for the profitability of SAS long haul operations. To secure a successful future it is of highest important that we constantly drive transformation that unlocks value and enables quick responses to business opportunities and customer, colleagues and partner needs.
We are therefore now looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong communication- and stakeholder management skills, who will lead projects and programs across SAS Cargo and wants to be a driving force in our transformation journey.
You will have the opportunity to interact with the whole and global SAS Cargo organization and learn widely about the airline and air cargo industry. You will be part of the Digital & IT department, who is responsible for SAS Cargo´s vital IT solutions and the execution of Projects. You will report to the Head of Digital & IT and work closely with SAS Cargo´s management team.
Primary areas of responsibility
- Project- and Program Management for medium size or large initiatives
- Drive the strategic and business critical projects and ensure these are delivered within scope, costs and deadlines
- Collaborate actively and regularly with all project participants, decision makers and partners/suppliers to drive the projects ahead
- Responsible for Steering Committee meetings with a set and regular frequency
- Partner and supplier management and communication
- Financial project budgeting and follow-up
- Ensure a productive work environment in the projects
- Plan and execute activities and individual initiatives to drive the projects towards the end goal(s)
- Create and implement new processes, ways of working, make improvements & support Change Management
- Coach and support teams in ways of working in order to reach highly motivated and high performing teams
- Contribute to the overall digital transformation program
- Perform ad hoc tasks as needed within team
Experience and Qualifications
- Higher academic education (preferably 3-year academic degree, B.Sc. or higher with engineering, computer science, economical, or business orientation)
- Min 3 years of documented and professional experience within Project Management, Program Management, digital transformation, change management and project leadership across Business & IT
- Documented experience from supplier-/partner management
- Extensive experience from cross-departmental and supplier-/partner coordination between business stakeholders, IT and suppliers/partners
- Project Management experience with different methods (e.g. waterfall, Agile, risk assessments)
- Experience from conducting negotiations and purchasing activities with suppliers/partners
- Team player, capable of motivating and energizing peers, with a proven ability to create a highly collaborative working environment.
- Great business acumen, having interacted with senior business stakeholders in the past
- As a sophisticated influencer with great communication skills, you can engage with your audience on a personal level and are able to clearly articulate your vision to both business-oriented and technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.

- Proficiency in communication in English (written and spoken)
- Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages is a plus
