Deliver on Nøie’s ambitious sustainability strategy
- In this role, you will be testing hypotheses in practice and building what Nøie should be two years from now.
We are not just driven by double-digit growth and international scaling we are also committed to becoming actively sustainable. Over the short-term, our goal is to remove more CO2 from the atmosphere than we emit. Over the long-term, we aim to be 100 percent circular in everything we do. As you can see, we have lots of great things planned and luckily our Sustainability Business Development Manager will be supported by a great team of highly skilled people all dedicated to making a true impact.
You will be reporting directly to our co-founder and CFO — Carbon Footprint Officer, as part of the Sustainability and Business Development team.
Nøie is based at the co-working space Matrikel1 in the centre of Copenhagen. We value fun, freedom, expertise, dedication, and teamwork, and we invest in each other.
The role is the first of its kind at Nøie — an extension to the team as part of our growth strategy.
An experienced business developer and project manager with a passion for sustainability, growth and innovation
We believe in the forces of cooperation, innovation and execution. We are all about testing hypotheses in the market, and we do dare to fail as long as we do it fast and learn from our mistakes. We are looking for a person with the ability to undertake, own, execute, and finish business-critical projects and test new hypotheses in the market.
We imagine that the right person has +2 years of experience from business development or management consulting role, is highly motivated to be part of a fast-growing scaleup, wants to put their competencies to use in a new setting, and is willing to learn and develop.
Personality-wise we are looking for an outgoing, proactive team player with great interpersonal skills.

- Circular packaging – we want packaging based on recycled materials and design recyclable packaging
- Traceable ingredients – we want to trace all our ingredients from extraction to finished product
- CO2-saving distribution – we want to reduce our consumption of transport packaging
- Engaging voices – we want to encourage and influence the world around us to recycle and consume with care
- Investments in removing CO2 – we want to remove more CO2 from the atmosphere than we emit

Some of the projects that our Business Development Manager will be responsible for are to:
- Build a raw material traceability system to trace our ingredients
- Build an online resource universe publishing our sustainability learnings for others to learn from
- Calculate our carbon footprint and then help lowering it
- Build our ESG framework and make it alive in the organisation
- Build and test a take-back recycling program and a closed-loop recycling program
- Work on various new projects that takes Nøie to the next level
- Find and remove “waste” in our supply chain
