We are currently looking for an experienced Functional Operations Product Leader who will have global responsibility for the design, standardization, implementation and automation of our warehousing operations (including B2C fulfillment and depots) offered to our customers.

You will be responsible for driving the vision of operations excellence to ensure safety for our associates and to world-class Customer Experience.
You will also be responsible for thought leadership and long-term vision for the product, innovating and maturing new concepts jointly with customers and operational and commercial functions.
Furthermore you will partner closely with customers to understand and qualify their needs and create differentiated value propositions that profitably address market opportunities and industry trends, creating a competitive advantage for Maersk.
Focuses on benchmarking Maerks fulfillment practices against best-in-class operations, develops and implements process standards and cost structure improvements for global network adoption

Reporting into the Head of Contract Logistic you ensure that the product is fit for purpose on global level and you will be accountable for developing the operations excellence roadmap and operations requirements which serve as input for platform and processes for internal products and our business teams.
You are accountable for the development and implementation of training program(s) on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, analytics and statistics and related trainings and coaching as well as for driving certification of warehousing operations.
Other key tasks:
• Accountable for driving complex projects with a focus on improving Cost, Quality and/or Customer experience. Delivers operational efficiency gains which lead to quantified $ value saving impacting the bottom-line.
• Accountable for automation initiatives and defining/selection operational equipment including MHE.
• Partner with regional operational and central product teams to drive an aligned roadmap.
• Advocate best practices and establishing Maersk as a world class reference in warehousing operations.
• Lead team of process managers, continuous improvement managers in executing the roadmap and creating market leading capabilities.
• Responsible for defining long and short-term roadmap of the operations products, ensuring it grows to a fully scaled product.
• Responsible for driving annual and quarterly product & technology funding initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant education combined with solid management experience leading direct and indirect teams remotely and globally.
You have Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from a reputed institute or organization and 10+ years’ experience in driving continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methods.
You:
• Have demonstrated ability in leading cross functional, global complex projects
• Have experience of having developed and managed training program related to Lean Six Sigma methods.Prior experience on training on Lean Six Sigma or Quality tools/techniques
• Have prior experience on working with statistical tools like JMP, Minitab etc.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and understand complex data sets
• Are highly experienced Warehouse and Distribution expert with a proven track record in assessing market needs and building strategic plans focused on Customer and Operations Excellence
• Have experience in setting up partnership or building own infrastructure to service customer’s warehousing and distribution needs
• Have strong people management and leadership skills as well as ability to collaborate and influence others, including suppliers
• Have strong communication skills to support new product ideas to senior and executive leadership.
• Have strong proficiency to communicate and negotiate in English
• Well versed with Scrum methodology
• Proficient in Microsoft tools; Excel, word, etc and preferable in SQL
