Maersk is looking for a Business / Data Analyst for Maersk’s visibility Team within our Business Platform Portfolio. You will work closely with our customers and internal business partners to efficiently define customer centric, Key Performance Indicators, analyze data, surface data insights, detect anomalies and propose the improvements that enable our teams to offer industry leading capabilities and deliver on customer promise. You will work with platform owners to define user stories and prioritize backlog within our scrum team, while working with a cross functional group of business and tech stakeholders, as well as partnering with Data Engineers to pipeline new data streams, making sure the data across several platforms in this portfolio are consistent.

Key responsibilities
* Define Key Performance Indicators that are easy to understand, action oriented, and provide the appropriate level of drill down and summary to meet the needs of customers on the front lines of our business through C-suite and Board level.
* Monitor the coverage and quality of available data sources to drive decisions to optimize and improve data quality 

* Partner with cross functional stakeholders to validate business rules that reduce data ambiguity

* Partnering with platform owners and development team to ensure Milestone visibility is built to a high quality, minimizing dashboard load times, and maximizing data accuracy

* Serve as a subject matter expert for team visibility streams for all stakeholders

* Provide input in design of future KPIs and data infrastructure needs for Data Lake

* Collect data for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews and partners with stakeholders to highlight key wins and opportunities based on performance

* Responsible for establishing appropriate intake and prioritization mechanisms to manage workload, and serving as an escalation point for data integrity issues while ensuring SLAs are met

* Responsible for all documentation about KPIs and reporting generated, including overall purpose, data flows, infrastructure and validation plans prior to launch

* Responsible for ensuring all data governance policies and procedures are adhered to

* Responsible for initiation of improvement projects and POC s

* Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and present data that provides insights, transparency and clarity beyond the numbers, with the objective to inform, influence, support, and improve business decisions  

* Build proactive anomaly detection solutions to predict and avoid data leakage and discrepancies 

* Understand the data architecture helping the architects with the business inputs on data translations and filtering layers

We are looking for:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Degree in computer science, business administration or related field preferred.

* 2-5+ years’ experience in Business analytics (i.e Dashboard generation, ETL, KPI development).

* 2-5+ years’ experience operating with cloud data infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS, Oracle, etc.)

* Accountability – Ability to operate remotely and independently, maintaining standards that lead to high performance and execution

* Agility – Ability to improve and make important changes rapidly

* Collaboration – Ability to influence and manage up when working together across boundaries.

* Skill in various data processing and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense or the like). 

* Ability to write efficient data models using SQL and use statistical computer languages (R, Python etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. 

* Excellent attention to detail and highly organized way of working. 

* Understanding of shipping, logistics knowledge is a plus.
