Svitzer has an ambitious strategy, where key to success is a strong focus on operational excellence, utilization of our global ownership advantage and best practice sharing across our global organization.
You will be responsible for guiding up to 5 data engineers, a self-organized team from Maersk Technology, located in India, assigned to Svitzer.
You will report directly to the Head of Operational Development and work closely with wide range of internal stakeholders.
• Develop, own and execute the product roadmap for Svitzer Insight, Svitzer’s centralised reporting product, delivering cross functional insight and supporting performance management.
• Apply Agile approach to continuously review business need, refine priorities, outline deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with functional teams to develop use cases and KPIs.
• Translate use cases and KPIs into well-defined product requirements.
• Present regular updates on the roadmap and benefit realisation to the Insight steering committee.
• Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of operational performance; this includes the ownership and delivery on a monthly basis of the global operations scorecard
• Facilitate performance dialogs within the Operations department delivering analysis through Microsoft Power BI.
• Implement, maintain and improve business processes in relation to the Svitzer Fleet Database.
You constantly focus on keeping track of both own deadlines and those of your team. You motivate others by leaving space for them to exercise their technical capabilities, but ensure their focus is honed to delivering value for the business, and you challenge assumptions in a positive way.
You strive to gain a solid understanding of our business operations and processes that the product supports. You are curious and keen to work with stakeholders across the organization’s hierarchy.
You must be able to promote your product, ‘selling’ the benefits to stakeholders, and bringing your users along with you, sometimes in the face of stern change resistance.
Preferably, you have;
• Experience in a project role working with Agile methodology.
• Proven track record of setting and keeping deadlines, delegation and decision making.
• Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions in an operational environment utilising BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau).
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with front line and headquartered teams alike.
• Ability to work independently.
The position is office based, however you may be required to travel across the globe from time to time as the need arises. In addition, you must hold a valid working permit.
