Software Engineer – high level C# & .NET development

Very varied job from first ideas via coding and testing to documentation
As Software Engineer your overall focus is to provide the users of the Milestone XProtect Video Management Software with the best possible features and solutions. Most of your work will be related to The Milestone Integration Platform Software Development Kit (MIP SDK). The SDK is a set of comprehensive tools that makes it easy to create applications or device drivers that will work for the XProtect suite. To make sure that our ideas and solutions create the most value to the customers’ businesses, the team handles the direct dialogue with the users (developers) of the SDK. You will:

  • Design, code, unit test and document
  • Think quality and testability into code
  • Embrace both test and development tasks with the same dedication and sense of quality
  • Respond to customer input and evaluate risk and cost of bug fixes

We think, plan and act as one team. As such, you will not be allocated to a group of very specified tasks. Together, we look at the tasks at hand and then decide how we best can drive things forward – and as part of this, how we best can utilize each person’s skills and competencies and at the same time ensure the on-going development of us all.

C# and .NET specialist with 5+ years of work experience
We are looking for a profile that is motivated by being in close contact with the end users. This calls for your pragmatic and service minded attitude and naturally also for your communication skills (especially in written English as most of the dialogue is in writing). You must like to create results via teamwork and as part of this not be afraid to bring your own ideas to the table. Additionally, your CV comprises:

  • A software related degree at minimum B.Sc. level
  • 5+ years of work experience in a software environment
  • Experience from a Scrum setting or at least familiarity with ideas and mind-set of working agile and in a Scrum environment
  • Very good skills in C# and .NET
  • Good English skills in writing and speaking

Your new team
Your will join a team of nine covering five nationalities based at the Milestone HQ in Brøndby. We are five Developers, a Test Specialist, a Supporter, a Tech Writer and a Product Owner. Together, we deliver components and interfaces that enable our partners and end customers to not only integrate with, but also extend the XProtect products.
