Business Development Manager – Country Lead Denmark
We are looking for a talented and experienced Business Development Manager – Country Lead for Denmark to join us as we work to bring Nordea Connect, Nordea’s payment service provider to the market. Nordea is fully utilizing its market position and vast payment expertise in bringing a strong e-commerce offering to the market for our corporate customers.

That’s why we launched our own payment service provider, Nordea Connect. We are now ramping up the Nordea Connect sales activities across the Nordics, and that’s where you come in! We’re offering you a truly unique opportunity of being a part of building product momentum in the largest bank in the Nordics. Nordea’s size, brand and relationships as well as the need from our corporate customers offer us a unique position in helping our customers navigate the online landscape. We have been serving our corporate customers with their financial needs for many years, and now we get to join them as a partner on the journey of fully realizing their online ambitions.

Your responsibility will lie within coordinating the commercial, strategic and sales side of the Danish market. We’re looking for someone who has a strong passion for e-commerce and online payments. You need to combine strategic thinking with commercial know-how and use your past experiences in creating value for our corporate customers. Nordea’s services power close to a million businesses of all sizes, in almost every industry, spread over the Nordics. You’ll be working directly with key stakeholders and customers in making sure we support them on their online journeys.

About this opportunity


You’ll join the Commercialisation team, as a Business Development Manager – Country lead for Denmark. You’ll play a key role in making sure our commercial and go-to-market efforts in Denmark are successful and will contribute heavily to the overall Nordea Connect strategy. We are looking for a highly strategic, commercial and result-driven person, previous experience of cash management and/or e-commerce is a must.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be a key driver and contributor in setting commercial and business development strategies for the Danish market, and connecting it closely to the overall Nordea Connect strategy
  • Lead and be a senior representative for sales activities and complex customer meetings
  • Become the point of entry for Nordea Connect in Denmark – coordinating other parts of the organization to ensure we meet commercial and product success
  • Stakeholder management – a close partnership with Sales and other stakeholders
  • Identify, understand and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives that support Nordea’s overall strategy, with a strong focus on revenue generation
  • Be an internal expert on e-commerce: understand key trends, events and market developments within the e-commerce market and share with relevant stakeholders

You have a track record of working within cash management and/or e-commerce and payments and have proven commercial rationale with a passion for great customer experiences and commercial success.

Furthermore, we would like for you to have:

  • At least five years’ experience of working hands-on with cash management and/or e-commerce/payments, with a proven track record
  • Experience working in both complex and fast-paced corporate environments, including stakeholder management
  • Proven commercial and strategic rationale, with clear sales experience including P&L responsibility
  • Excellent communication capacity: comfortable with leading and driving meetings with C-Level contacts
  • A great understanding, interest and passion for e-commerce and payments
  • A track record of running successful commercial initiatives related to e-commerce/ payments
  • High level of energy and engagement with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong networking skills
