Business Developer for FX – Copenhagen

To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a highly skilled Business Developer for FX, who is able to reinforce our team with extending already existing products or building a cloud-based, state-of-the-art foreign exchange (FX) infrastructure from scratch, in close collaboration with our customers, to complement our high-volume payment system.

Our client portfolio consists of both tech-savvy payment service providers as well as large-scale financial corporations. You will be reporting to the Product Manager for Platform Excellence and FX and a part of a small specialized team, that uses agile principles in an informal structure, which supports both sales, treasury and our development. This is a unique opportunity for you to learn and develop with guidance and mentorship from colleagues, with extended experience from the financial markets area. The examples of what you could be working with are held-rates, rule-based liquidity management or improving our request for quote (RFQ) flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather feedback from clients and create solutions to meet customer’s demands
  • Prototyping and releases to enhance existing features and build new ones
  • Understand application programming interface (API)
  • Write business user stories and structuring backlogs
  • Work with the team to ensure commercial success of the FX offering

Skills & Qualifications

To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a relevant educational background within business, engineering, or another applicable field. You have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role, where you have worked with FX, data, frontend or the backend, within the payments or banking industry (sales, advisory, strategist, product development or other relevant places). It is important that you feel comfortable with technical concepts and solutions, and are in possession of strong communication skills, so you´re able to explain such concepts to clients and colleagues in a simple but effective manner. Furthermore, we expect you to be detail-oriented, proactive, and not afraid of a steep learning curve, and a 2022 that will be fast, exciting, fast paced and goal oriented. Earlier experience within programming or developing innovative products and/or experience from a disruptive player in the financial industry will be seen as a strong advantage.

As a person, you are pro-active, responsible, and quality oriented. You have strong analytical skills and a structured way of working. At the same time, you need to have the courage to try out new things. We furthermore expect you to be a dependable and knowledge-sharing team-player that cooperates well at all levels of an organization. As Banking Circle is an international company it’s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset. The position will be based at Banking Circle’s Office in Copenhagen.
