The position
Your primary responsibility will be the implementation of new technologies and approaches supporting development and production within sterile filtration, and subsequent further aseptic processing, including final fill. Your areas of expertise will include filter validation, integrity testing, filtration setups, and related tasks. Your tasks will entail developing filtration and aseptic filling solutions for our local production or supporting the setup at external manufacturing partners (Contract Manufacturing Organizations).You can look forward to:• Ensuring implementation of new sterile filtered / sterile processes, as well as adaption of existing processes to new customer or regulatory requirements
• Being involved in establishing filtration and filling processes as an SME, as well as being involved in the design phase of filtration and filling solutions
• Having insights into the technical process equipment
• Focusing on science and implementation of new technology to support needs in the Advance Therapy Medicinal Products fieldYou will be a part of a cross-functional team. Your expertise will be vital in suggesting procedural or process improvements, as well as in providing necessary resources and helping to remove obstacles, to help us achieve our team goals.The working location will be Køge, with the flexibility to on average work from home 2 days a week. Since international collaboration can be part of your job, you can expect to travel around 5-10 days per year.
QualificationsIn this job, you will have a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, so the ability to work across boundaries will be critical for your success. Moreover, we imagine that you have:• Theoretical background related to sterile filtration, combined with some years of practical experience, either from the pharmaceutical industry or from a similar industry, where you have been involved in liquid filtration in a regulated environment.
• An academic degree within a relevant area, e.g. Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or similar
• Experience with e.g. process or product support, process validation, process optimization, sterile production processes, and implementing new technologies
• Knowledge about excipient or API production, e.g. protein/enzyme is a plus
• Strong communication skills in EnglishAs a person, you are good at building trust with stakeholders, and you naturally share important and relevant information with your team. You have an analytical mindset with the ability to work in a structured way and an ability to support multiple activities. You are an outgoing person, who always seeks solutions and compromises to achieve the best outcome for the team and organization but never compromises on quality.
About the department
The Manufacturing Development department in Novo Nordisk Pharmatech consists of 30 dedicated employees split into three teams. You will become our filtration scientist in the PSG PM and Contract Manufacturing team consisting of 9 chemists, supporters and Project Managers. This team ensures successful project planning as well as fast time to market for our newly developed products from development to commercial production through own production or with the help of CMO collaborations. We work in close collaboration with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used for the treatment of many different conditions as well as process enzymes crucial for bioprocessing of established and upcoming therapeutic moieties. The atmosphere is relaxed, creative and characterized by our growth mindset.
