About the department
You will join the Business Support Department in Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Novo Nordisk A/S. Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S develops and manufactures excipients and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) to both Novo Nordisk A/S and the global biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing markets.
Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S spans a full value chain from R&D over manufacturing to sales, and our strategic objective is to bring new products to market in the coming years. Business Support ensures a robust and streamlined support function and acts as business partners to the entire organization. We are looking for the person who can navigate us through a journey of supporting strategy development as well as drive LEAN activities in the organization.
The Job
Your focus is two-fold:
- To support the management team in Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S drive strategy development and target setting process with an outset in our ambitious growth plans
- To continuously improve business processes by building LEAN competencies and by supporting and driving LEAN activities throughout NNPR at operational and strategic level
Looking into the future market development there is a great potential for Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S to supply Novo Nordisk A/S and the global biopharmaceutical industry with ancillary and raw materials in market leading purity, in cGMP quality and with strong regulatory documentation - and this role will play a key role in driving strategy development to prepare the organization to capture this opportunity.
You will work closely with the management team and set the direction for how the larger leadership group will develop LEAN thinking, systems and methods across the company. It will be part of your responsibility to set direction, inspire and motivate the LEAN initiatives closely together with the leadership teams and make a sustainable and effectful impact in the teams you work with.

Qualifications
You hold a commercial or technical degree at master’s level, or you have an MSc within the natural sciences, ideally combined with commercial education and/or experience. To this you have added several years of practical experience working with both strategy development and LEAN - preferably as a management consultant with a well-renowned consultancy and/or in a pharmaceutical production environment. Here you have either acquired managerial skills, or you have obvious leadership ambitions and potential, with a track record to back it.
It is vital that you have experience in developing targets and strategies in close collaboration with management teams. You are capable of analysing an entire value chain and quickly have a clear idea of where and how your efforts will have the most impact. In addition, you are well versed within change management and able to set the standards for central LEAN activities.
We will be relying on your analytical skills to understand a complex business setup, facilitate strategy development and to set bold targets for our business as well as for an even stronger LEAN culture. As digitalization and data analysis are both identified as important business drivers, prior experience with any or both is considered an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills are a must, we expect you to be able to communicate seamlessly with people across all organizational levels and professional domains. You possess a natural drive and people will tell us that you have the ability to inspire and motivate them. Proficiency in English and Danish both verbally and in writing is a prerequisite in this job.
