Welcome to Functional Foods
You will be part of a business unit within Global Marketing, a dynamic group of business developers and marketeers. Based in Denmark, our team combines commercial and scientific expertise, driven by a shared goal to develop solutions that will shape the future of biosolutions for functional foods. The role and work atmosphere is very much driven by an entrepreneurial approach where creativity and pragmatism to move forward in a complex landscape is needed. Our team spirit is ambitious, competitive, and fun, offering an environment rich in growth opportunities.
In this role, you will…
…make a significant impact by driving the innovation and commercial rollout of our Functional Foods portfolio. As the Business Development and Global Marketing Manager, you’ll focus on two key areas: driving the commercial development of early-stage innovation projects and laying the groundwork for expanding our current portfolio across different regions and processes.
Further, you will transform consumer trends and customer needs into compelling value propositions that align with our technical capabilities, supporting our innovation initiatives and identifying new trends that align with our growth strategy.
Some of your key tasks will include:
You will collaborate closely with internal teams such as Applied Research, R&D, and Sales, while also engaging with external stakeholders to understand customer and consumer needs. This collaboration is crucial to aligning our portfolio strategy with market demands.
We expect you to…
• Have 8+ years of experience in international business development or marketing, ideally within the food ingredients sector.
• Hold an M.Sc. in Marketing, Business, or a related technical field.
• Be passionate about developing new business areas and have a proven ability to commercialize food solutions.
• Be fluent in English.
We are looking for someone who is a natural connector and a proactive doer with the ability to get things done. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both commercial and technical teams are essential.
Travel activity should be expected in order to meet customers, attend trade shows, and engage with internal stakeholders.

As the Business Development and Global Marketing Manager, you’ll focus on two key areas: driving the commercial development of early-stage innovation projects and laying the groundwork for expanding our current portfolio across different regions and processes.
Further, you will transform consumer trends and customer needs into compelling value propositions that align with our technical capabilities, supporting our innovation initiatives and identifying new trends that align with our growth strategy.
Some of your key tasks will include:
- A dual role as both Business Development - as well as Global Marketing Manager translating into both responsibility for building the commercial validation of new innovation projects as well as driving the more established business activities.
- Developing business cases to support the financial attractiveness of innovation investments.
- Leading the commercial deployment of Novonesis’ portfolio in functional ingredients for food and beverages together with our global colleagues.
- Driving activities within pricing, communication, alignment with marketing strategies and sales performance, CRM systems etc.
- Sitting in our product management team for Functional Foods.
- Contribute to shaping a go to market strategy with larger CPG´s.
- Engaging in regular travel to foster customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by taking ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring successful execution and completion.
