The position You will report to the Director of Global Research Technologies Strategy & Operations (GRT S&O) and will be responsible for driving high-impact strategy projects and processes which influence the strategic direction and development of the GRT organisation. Most of the deliverables are anchored at a senior leadership level in GRT, to be implemented in the local organisation while some projects will have a cross-functional nature involving several areas and/or will be presented at the executive management level. This requires the ability to provide structure, collaborate and facilitate activities across professional disciplines in GRT and with key stakeholders across the Research & Early Development (R&ED) organisation. The position provides a high level of visibility, accountability, and hands-on interaction. This is the ideal position for a science-driven person with a well-developed strategy/consultant toolbox, who wishes to drive high-impact strategy projects in Novo Nordisk R&ED. Qualifications You have a natural science background and hold a Master’s or Ph.D., combined with 2-3 years of experience from either management consulting or leading scientific strategy projects in the pharma industry. You possess a strong consulting toolbox and experience in driving strategy projects with many stakeholders in a science organisation.To succeed in the role, you have: Solid project management skills and experience driving strategic projects in a complex organisational setup Strong communication skills and can interact with key stakeholders up to senior management level Ability to influence senior management through building trustful relationships Flair for integrating communication and change management perspectives into any project execution You are curious and passionate about continually identifying opportunities for improvements and development of the organisation. You are motivated by empirically driven decisions and to successfully support this, you can structure and translate information and knowledge into clear communication to facilitate management decision-making.As a person, you have a strong drive for taking initiative and working both as a dedicated team player as well as independently. About the Department GRT S&O is responsible for driving high-impact strategy projects and processes anchored with GRT Leadership Team and in close collaboration with other parts of our R&ED organisation e.g., Global Drug Discovery (GDD), Data Science and Innovation (DSI) and Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) as well as key stakeholders from R&ED Strategy & Portfolio Management and Corporate Strategy.GRT S&O is a team of 6 dedicated specialists with a high level of synergy through a variety of personal profiles and professional backgrounds, ranging from scientific at the Ph.D. level to specific business-oriented experts and ex-management consultants. We show leadership in everything we do through individual accountability, psychological safety and focus to generate high impact without compromising work-life balance and social team dynamics.
