Are you interested in being an innovator? If so, you might be the Senior Scientist we need for the Oral Drug Product Development team in Måløv. Specifically, we are seeking a capable colleague who shares our goal of advancing the development of oral solid dosage forms containing proteins or small molecules, as well as modernizing our current systems through digitalization. The position The Novo Nordisk pipeline is growing with protein and small molecule drug candidates. We are therefore looking for a colleague with passion for the development of solid oral dosage forms focusing on bioavailability enhancement and enabling technologies, to bring these candidates forward in development. As responsible for the developing the manufacturing processes of new oral drug products you will be: · Preparing, executing, and evaluating development studies for new oral drug products. · Collaborating closely with colleagues to transition new oral projects from research to clinical trials. · Supervising technicians in practical work and have hands-on participation when implementing new equipment and technologies with optimization and digitalization in mind. · Documenting developed manufacturing processes for transfer to GMP. With your experience from the pharmaceutical industry or academia, you will represent the department in multi-disciplinary (CMC) project groups. You will work closely with experts and stakeholders from a wide range of areas. Additionally, you will plan project activities in close collaboration with the project- and line management. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should: · Have a master’s degree within Life Sciences (e.g., Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Sciences) or similar. · Have at least 5 years of experience with the pharmaceutical industry or academia. · Have knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation, e.g., with an interest in drug delivery and enabling technologies. · Preferably, have experience with formulation and/or process optimisation of solid dosage forms. · Ideally, enjoy working in a dynamic and inclusive environment, where teamwork is at the top of the agenda. On a personal level, you are proactive in taking responsibility for your tasks. You set realistic deadlines and achieve them in collaboration with the rest of the team. You have ability to express your own ideas and drive tasks is desired and a strong plus. We expect you to have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with focus on stakeholder management. About the department In Emerging Products & Outsourcing, we develop drug products ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. The department consists of +40 dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues organised in 2 teams. We are responsible for developing and providing documentation for oral drug products for non-clinical studies and clinical trials for phase I and phase II. A broad and exciting range of process technologies for development of oral solid dosage forms are available in-house. The ambition is to develop drug product formulations and processes for oral delivery. Furthermore, we develop processes and manufacture tablets for non-clinical testing in oral drug product projects. Our tasks comprise of R&D CMC activities within formulation and engineering of drug products, working together with several functional areas across Novo Nordisk.
