Are you ready to utilize your business development skills to support our clients' green transition within energy, buildings, transportation, and climate adaption? Are you capable to work across business units, geographies and client segments while promoting internal corporation and high-quality deliverables? Then grasp the opportunity to become a principal part of COWI's Green Transition and Sustainability team.

You will be anchored in our Group Business Development Unit and your closest colleagues will be an agile team dedicated to Green Transition and Sustainability. This team facilitates a cross unit network organization of 70 employees who are devoted to grow our business within renewable energy, green mobility, sustainable cities, and climate adaption.

Green Transition and Sustainability is the future of our business – and you can play a key role

As our new Business Development Manager, you will - together with the team – engage colleagues across business units to prepare proposals and pitches. You will be entrusted to do ad hoc support and sparring to the top management within business development. In addition, you will be tasked with responsibilities to support the development of strategic execution plans, to realize the market potentials of the green transition, within our prioritized sectors.
This position will give you extensive opportunities to further develop your career and business skills. Hence, it is expected that you dedicate additional focus to one of COWI's green business tracks. This will enable you to continually increase your value contribution and subsequently prepare the next step in your COWI career. Your manager will be Senior Director Thor Möger Pedersen.

You can look forward to a challenging position, on a day-to-day basis you will contribute to:

  • Prepare proposals and client dialogues.
  • Operate and support COWI's Green Transition and Sustainability network across business units and geographies.
  • Market analysis and coordination of communication efforts.
  • Development and implementation of strategic execution plan within prioritized sectors.

To succeed as Business Development Manager you have a talent for driving sales and market efforts on a strategic as well as operational level. You thrive in a high-paced work environment and possess the ability to manage stakeholders and tasks competing interests. You are skilled in presenting and pitching business ideas and converting resistance to motivation. You are a concise and effective communicator, in addition to this, you navigate seamlessly across organisational levels as well as different industrial contexts. You feel comfortable in continually establishing and maintaining strong relations with external and internal collaboration partners. You have a pragmatic approach to challenges and the ability to easily transition in and out of projects when needed.
To thrive in this position, you should resemble the following:

  • An academic degree, e.g., within economics or business studies.
  • 5 years of experience from a similar role or from a major consultancy firm.
  • Excellent skills in writing proposals and captivating presentations.
  • Structured work approach and efficiency in task solving.
  • The ability to collect data and convey relevant findings.
