We are now looking for a Start-up Trial Manager to join the team. The position As the Start-up Trial Manager, you will belong to a team that will consist of a mixed group of start-up specialists and trial managers, reporting to the start-up manager. The team is in its building stage which gives you a good opportunity to influence the role. The position is virtual, which means that you can work from your home country. The position will require some travelling to DK for regular meetings. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the clinical trial start-up activities across the nine CDC countries within Europe, from feasibility to the first participant first visit (FPFV) milestone. This position requires excellent organizational, project management and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of the clinical trial process and Novo Nordisk therapeutic areas.
  • Providing operational and therapeutic expertise to the project, achieve deliverables within agreed timelines and in accordance with scientific, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading the trial teams (Clinical Research Associates (CRA)) in the CDC DK countries to ensure timely start-up of your assigned trials, which includes planning, conduct and co-ordination of project activities during trial start-up.
  • Collaborating and interacting with adjacent affiliates and their clinical teams, Clinical Trial Administrators, Head Quarter Trial Managers, Region NWE Clinical Project Managers, and other Novo Nordisk colleagues.
  • Pro-active identification and mitigation of potential risks and issues that may impact the start-up phase of the trial.
  • Being detail-oriented, and able to maintain an overview, digest complex data and apply adequate level of quality in your work.
  • Demonstrating and fostering a team culture of best practice sharing, providing innovative solutions and openness to share learnings.
  • Qualifications We are looking for an experienced CRA or Trial Manager who is motivated by finding new ways of working and starting up exciting trials in our nine countries. Additionally, you are our ideal candidate if you:
  • Hold a degree within life science or healthcare
  • Have significant experience in clinical research obtained at a pharmaceutical company and/or CRO, with in-depth knowledge of clinical start-up activities
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
  • Work independently while also being a dedicated team player
  • Bring solid project management skills
  • Have high proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Enjoy working with different stakeholders across nationalities and cultures
  • About the department The Clinical Development Centre Denmark (CDC-DK) is responsible for managing back-office activities, such as project management and administrative tasks on clinical trials across nine countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland). The CDC-DK is a part of the DK affiliate.
