Global business development, commercial product management and new product introduction regarding trendsetting software solution with significant industry impact!
SKOV and Big Dutchman - two global market leaders of the agricultural production equipment industry with a total of almost 4000 employees - have decided to invest heavily in developing the most technologically advanced cloud-based management solution of the industry raising the customers’ daily production efficiency and taking long-time optimisation to a whole new level. The software solution “Farm Management” will be marketed as a SaaS solution, incorporating the newest features from e.g. big data, AI, IoT, and the commercial potential in the growing agricultural industry is tremendous.
With reference to SKOV’s CEO and Big Dutchmans “Farm Management” responsible your responsibility will be the commercial development of the product, creating a financially attractive SaaS business case and a successful introduction to the global market.
Key tasks are:
You have comprehensive experience with business development and product management, concerning software solutions, preferably software related to industrial applications.
You hold a commercial degree or an engineering degree with a business development/entrepreneurial focus. You have developed new products or business models e.g. a SaaS license model. You have a “born digital” mindset and commercial experience with digital solutions incorporating new technologies e.g. AI, IoT, blockchain, cloud.
As a person you are analytical, goal oriented and have a solid business understanding. You are positive, curious and change-oriented and see opportunities instead of problems. You are self-motivating and persistent and strong at stakeholder management based on a co-operating nature. Ability to communicate fluently in English and a willingness to travel approx. 50 days a year globally.
You are offered a key position in creating and commercially introducing “Farm Management”, which has great value for food producers, and which supports the world’s increasing demands for higher and more resource effective and sustainable food production.
Since 1966 SKOV A/S (DKK 800+ mill. yearly revenue generated in 75 markets) has produced and sold ventilation systems (HW & SW) for animal production, primarily pork and poultry production and is owned by Big Dutchman. The two companies are global industry leaders, and together they have almost 4000 employees. They are two high quality brands and technologically trendsetting companies with massive focus on product development both HW and SW having more than 100 SW Developers employed.
SKOV and Big Dutchman want to be first mover of their business creating a cloud-based state of the art software management solution integrating technologies such as IoT, Blockchain, AI provided to the customers as “Software as a Service” (SaaS). The solution called “Farm Management” allows the customers to survey, control, analyse, compare and optimise numerous globally dispersed production sites from a laptop at their office.

- Manage own team primarily of Product Managers (growing to 3-5 employees)
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities and translation of these into marketing strategies for Farm Management
- Qualify inquiries from the regions’ sales organisations and creating development requests
- Proactive promotion of “Farm Management” to the sales organisations of all regions
- Customer-oriented sales support regarding “Farm Management” solution
- Acting as a liaison between customers/sales and R&D
- Support the sales executives during executive meetings and trade exhibitions
