Then you might be the new Business Analyst we are looking for in MARS Business Support and become part of the NextGen Safety project.
About the department
In MARS, we are a team of almost 1.000 people pursuing better outcomes for patients within three functional areas: Global Medical Affairs (driving scientific communication), Global Regulatory Affairs (ensuring approval by health authorities) and Global Safety (handling patient safety and adverse events).
MARS Business Support is part of MARS Strategic Development. Our responsibility is to drive data driven decision-making, lead business improvement projects and provide management support to the senior and local leadership teams across the global organisation. Amongst other things we are in charge of the global capacity forecasting models, performance reports and business intelligence tools. Our main goal is to ensure solid data to drive informed decision-making with the ultimate aspiration of turning the ambitious R&D strategy and the pipeline of new products into real-life action.
The position
As a Business Analyst in the NextGen Safety project, you will be allocated to a major transformational project. The ambition is to drive a digital transformation of the global safety organisation through modernising the IT landscape and improving processes, by enabling evolving technologies such as robot process automation, machine learning and assisted artificial intelligence.
The project is currently in the analysis phase, and your responsibility will be to drive a number of analysis e.g. test business hypothesis, illuminate questions and factualise assumptions. In other words: create the basis for data driven decisions. You will take end-to-end responsibility for the analysis all the way from mapping of the business processes, compilation and measurement of data, analysis of correlations, trends and patterns, interpretation of data and presentation of outcomes and recommendations.
You will work in the intersection between data analytics, process mapping, project management and stakeholder presentations and communication. Thus it takes a broad skillset, both technically and personally, and two days will not be alike. Organisationally you will become part of the Business Support team consisting 14 dedicated colleagues. On a day-to-day basis you will be co-located with the project team, based in Bagsværd, and hence you will gain a broad network.
Qualifications
You have an academic Master’s degree in Economy, Business Administration, Engineering or similar, with at least a couple of years of experience and have delivered excellent. Alternatively you are newly graduated.
Needless to say you hold strong data analytical IT skills. You are a super user in MS Excel, and ideally you have solid hands-on experience with Business Intelligence and/or database solutions. Further you are experienced in PowerPoint and are able to turn data into communicable recommendations.
As a person you are a team player who easily interacts with colleagues at all levels. You are curious and are not afraid to reach out and ask investigative questions. You work independently in a structured way and approach tasks with energy and a positive attitude.
