Are you motivated by the opportunity to act as a strategic sparring partner to senior management and to head up the HR agenda for Novo Nordisk’s global activities within corporate and commercial strategies, communications, sustainability and public affairs? Then this might be the right challenge for you. We are looking for an experienced, senior level HR Business Partner to drive people engagement and organisational development across the Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs unit.
The department
Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs (CSCA) is a global function responsible for the development of our corporate strategy, commercialisation of Novo Nordisk’s assets across therapy areas, commercial guidance to key decisions, internal and external communication and for ensuring a long-term, sustainable business for Novo Nordisk and the people we serve. CSCA employ approx. 420 people located in Denmark and India and collaborate closely with all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain.
You will be an integral part of the organisation and senior management team for CSCA and will have a dotted reporting line to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of the area. You will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the cross functional P&O Business Partnering unit and will become part of the P&O Business Partnering management team which also encompasses the cross functional units Health & Safety, People Relations and training and capabilities building.
The position
You will become a partner and a trusted advisor to the EVP and the senior management team in CSCA, and you will in collaboration with the two HR Business Partners in the area reporting to you, secure the delivery of an HR agenda which supports the required strategic and operational business deliverables. Your key responsibilities will be to advice, support and collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the area on matters related to strategy development and deployment, leadership, talent- and succession management, organisation design, change management, workforce planning and culture.
You will be responsible for continuously reviewing, assessing and evolving the business to drive organisational efficiency and agility. In doing so, you found opinions, advise and initiatives in both quantitative and qualitative analyses and ensure the progression from idea to concrete outcomes. Furthermore, you will be shaping and fostering an engaging, diverse and inclusive employee environment, rooted in the Novo Nordisk Way, and handling the challenges and opportunities which strategic and market-oriented structures pose.
You will become part of a large, inspirational and international community which will provide direction and plenty of room for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
You hold a relevant academic degree in combination with extensive, senior level HR Business Partner experience from a complex, international environment. You are able to combine your strong sense of organization and team dynamics with a deep and broad business understanding and an ability to think strategically.
Based on a proven track record of acting as an independent sparring partner and an ability to identify organisational issues, you are capable of progressing from analysis and diversity of opinion to best-in-class, concrete solutions at both a strategic and an operational level. Combined with your business acumen, this enables you to translate business opportunities and challenges into clear HR actions and to overcome roadblocks, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives and solutions.
You possess a high level of integrity and seniority in appearance in order to succeed as a challenger and collaborator to senior management teams and other stakeholders. Furthermore, you have strong knowledge within change management and experience from international and culturally diverse environments to be able to actively drive forward an inclusive and performance-oriented culture.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
